TURBO APC SOLENOID CAUSES BUCKING

[9000]

Saab 9000 APC solenoid problems can often be identified by noting that an over boost condition exist when accelerating hard. Be sure to check that you do not have a vacuum leak prior to replacing this valve. Vacuum leaks can cause an over boost condition as well. The Saab APC system is designed to shutoff the fuel pump during over boost conditions that is why the bucking exist when this valve fails. The APC solenoid failure allows the boost to go up higher that it is intended to do and because of this the fuel pump will be shutoff.
