NOTE: Cabin control knob failures are often the result of a binding heater box. You can replace the knob but you may eventually have to do something with the heater box as well. Issues exist with the box which creates the knob problem. Only the right shaft can be replaced. If the other side is messed up as well you must replace 5174685 depending on the car you have
NOTE: Knob failures are common but generally indicate that the vent housing is in a bind causing them to fail. The knobs are fairly inexpensive in comparison to replacing the housing so most people choose to replace the knobs
NOTE: Saab requires a 250.00 core charge for each of these units. This amount will be added during checkout but refunded once the core unit (your old unit) is returned to us. Also note these units must be programmed by Saab or a technician with a Tech 2 before the new unit will function correctly
NOTE: Problems with the LED lights being half lit is a common problem with the SID units. Replacement of the unit is the only complete solution. You can attempt to repair the unit using the info below but the success rate is very low. To Remove the SID unit simply remove the radio and push the SID unit out from behind. Install in reverse order. New replacement units must be programmed by Saab or a technician with a Tech 2 before the new unit will function correctly.
