The most economical way is to replace only the insert but requires a bit more work. If you are attempting to replace the insert only then you MUST determine which insert is in the existing pump assembly that you have in the car by looking at the photos of 8822017A and B. You will notice that there are two different style barbs at the top. You must replace your existing insert with the one that is just like it from the photos above.
