Step 1 Remove the transmission. (This will have already been done if you are continuing from clutch slave replacement page) Step 2 Attach a clean 8 mm transparent plastic tube/hose, about 450 mm in length to the delivery pipe connection on the slave cylinder. Be sure its going to have a sealed connection to the deliver pipe. Step 3 Press the release bearing to its bottom position and then release it. The slave cylinder seat should remain at its inner position. Step 4 Fill the plastic tube/hose with brake fluid to a height of about 350 mm. Step 5 Attach Saab tool 3014883 pressure/vacuum pump to the plastic hose. (You can also use the hand pumps found in most auto parts stores) Use a 6 mm plastic hose (this is used to form a tight seal). Step 6 Pump up pressure until the slave cylinder seal moves outwards and the brake fluid drains into the slave cylinder. The pressure should increase when the seal has reached its out position. Step 7 Remove the pressure/vacuum pump and slowly press in the release bearing until it stops. You should see air bubbles exit via the plastic hose. Step 8 Repeat steps 6 & 7 until there are no more air bubbles in the hose. Step 9 Leave the slave cylinder seal in its inner position. Drain and remove the plastic hose
