Removal
| STEP 1 | Remove the windshield wiper arms with saab puller tool 8580144 |
| STEP 2 | Remove the rubber seals on the wiper spindles |
| STEP 3 | Remove the rubber molding along the front bulkhead and loosen the clips on one side. Place the molding to the one side |
| STEP 4 | Loosen the cover over the bulkhead partition space (fastened with clips) by carefully lifting it foward, releasing it from the windshield |
| STEP 5 | Move the hood cables and lift the cover backwards towards the windshield |
| STEP 6 | Be careful when removing clips! |
| STEP 7 | Loosen the clips on the front edge of the water shield with a screwdriver and remove the water shield |
| STEP 8 | Free the wiring harness over the cabin fan held with clips |
| STEP 9 | Press down the wiring harness including the rubber seal to the control unit |
| STEP 10 | Remove the glove box (See glove box removal section) http://www.thesaabsite.com/95/saab-glove-box-removal.htm |
| STEP 11 | Unplug and remove the connector from the bracket |
| STEP 12 | Unscrew the control unit from the fresh-air filter cover |
| STEP 13 | Reverse process to install |
