The AC evaporator is located in the AC/Heater housing inside the lower rear dash area. The refrigerant begins to expand (evaporate) due to the heat/cool differential between the lines and the evaporator. This absorbed heat condensates and is moved out the AC drains which is what is often seen under the vehicle during the summer.
