The AC compressor is located on the right side front of the engine belt area and increases refrigerant pressure which enables the AC system to cool down incoming air that is blown over the cooling coils of the evaporator.
Removal of 4 Cylinder AC COMPRESSOR
| STEP 2 | Drain the AC system & evacuate the AC refrigerant |
| STEP 3 | Unplug the compressor behind the passenger headlight |
| STEP 4 | Relieve the belt tension off the belt and lock with a 3 mm allen or similar |
| STEP 5 | Remove the Air mass meter hose and move it to the side |
| STEP 6 | Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield |
| STEP 7 | Remove the bypass hose and move it tot the side |
| STEP 8 | Remove the expansion tank hose and move to the side |
| STEP 9 | Remove the Fan housing & the oil cooler hose (Automatic cars only) |
| STEP 10 | Remove the turbo hose & move it to the side |
| STEP 11 | Remove both the low & high pressure AC hoses and move to the side (15 lbft torque) |
| STEP 12 | Lift up the car & remove the Air shields from behind the front spoiler |
| STEP 13 | Remove the 3 compressor bolts and remove the compressor (30 lbft torque) |
