On the 2006 and on Saab 95 a less restricted filter housing tube is available and can be installed easily with normal tools like screwdrivers & torx screwdrivers.
| STEP 1 | Remove the Tube from the lower portion of the Intake tube. The tube run from the air filter housing to the backside of the grille |
| STEP 2 | Remove the grille. On cars prior to 2003 you would remove the full grille. On later cars you will remove only the center portion. Either one can be removed by either taking screws out of the top and pulling the grille up or by pulling out the clips and pulling up on the grille. The following picture is what is behind the grille |

| STEP 3 | Remove the 8 screws under the filter that holds the protective shield that exposes the filter hose being replaced |
| STEP 4 | Simply pulldown the old tube and replace it with the new one. Not that easy because of the tight fit but you will be able to do it fine. |

A Note on this: The part number 5464821 has been superseded by 5327424 which means that all new hose purchased will be the later model hose. The hose # is the 10 in the picture on the parts page below:
