Check this information prior to installation as it may help you prevent a no start condition after installing the electrical portion of the ignition switch.
Removing the center console (manual trans)
| STEP 1 | Remove the center console & lock 4th gear and secure trans in 4th gear |
| STEP 2 | Remove the pinch clamp that hold the shifter rod to the transmission rod under the hood |
| STEP 3 | Remove the gear lever housing |
| STEP 4 | Lift out the housing and unplug electrical connections |
| STEP 5 | Remove the locking plate on the bottom of the shifter housing |
| STEP 6 | Remove the spring that holds the lock plate and unclip the arm that controls the lockplate at the bottom |
| STEP 7 | Remove the ignition switch which contains the electrical portion as well |
